What is natural stone thin veneer? Natural Stone Thin Veneer or natural stone siding is created by sawing real stone into thicknesses of approximately 1.25”. This process preserves the strength and durability of stone at a significantly reduced weight. This reduced weight allows for the use of stone veneer in a wide variety of applications without the need for extra structural support. Since natural stone thin veneer is approximately 15 pounds per square foot, it is a versatile way to enhance the appearance of home exteriors, fireplaces, outdoor kitchens, wine cellars, & more.

Often imitated by concrete and plastic manufactured stone companies, natural stone veneer has no equal in terms of density, durability, and longevity. Natural stone thin veneer can be combined with custom-made natural stone hearths and mantles cut to your specifications.

Due to improvement in efficiency, natural stone veneer is also becoming more competitive in price compared to the artificial alternatives while still maintaining advantages in long-term value. Unlike faux or manufactured stone veneer, natural stone offers significant benefits in maintenance costs due to superior density and abrasion resistance. If a piece of artificial stone veneer is chipped, it will expose the pressed concrete and aggregates it is made up of and will need to be cut out and replaced. It is much more difficult to chip natural stone veneer and if it happens it simply exposes the additional stone and does not negatively impact the overall look.
